Is it really that bad?
Well I’m sittin here listening to Rush and something dawns on me. Something like 96% of people in this country are paying their mortgages…. wow….. that’s a lot. So 4% of this country is in a mortgage crisis. Hmm…. strange that the news doesnt describe it this way. That frustrates me because I do get tired of people telling me how terrible things are. I mean around this house money is tight. But so what? If I look at my parents when I was a kid… money was tight. My grandparents had to work for money too. So what’s the problem with money being tight? I mean what am I going to do with more of it? Probably buy something stupid. So I’m thinking that I like that money is tight. It keeps me focused on the important stuff like having a conversation with my son rather than buying him something. So I dont get him 500 toys…. he can learn to play with old toys in new ways… I mean that’s what I did as a kid right? Its called creativity – so I think that I’m fine with the state of things in this country – sure people are having hard times, but the news media makes it seem like every other house is in an economic crisis… I think they need to define what they see that to be. Because if not having a new car every 2 years, or not having what’s “in” this season is an economic crisis then I disagree.

Haha- true dat, mama.
